SEPTEMBER 15 – Planning & Planting a Fall Garden

October 20 – Fall Garden Club Social Gathering

  • 6:00pm.
  • We will create a wonderful outdoor experience in the magical sunken garden. Bring your spouse or significant other. Come and meet garden club members, old and new. Please notify the Social Committee of potential new members so they can be added to the invitation list.

NOVEMBER 17 – Smart Yards

  • 10:00am at Lake Hills Presbyterian Church
  • Speaker: Sarah DeWitt with Knox Co. Master Gardeners will teach us about a yard that is in tune with the local environment for the benefit of both people and our ecosystem.

NOVEMBER 27 & 29 – Mailbox Toppers

  • 10am.
  • Join us to make decorations for mailboxes and door swags for the the neighborhood.

DECEMBER 15 – Christmas Holiday Luncheon

  • 10:30am.
  • Come enjoy a light luncheon and bring a garden-related wrapped gift for the gift exchange.

  • Speaker: Knox County Master Gardener – Susan Kiss

MARCH 16 – Starting Seeds

  • 10:00am at Lake Hills Presbyterian Church
  • Speaker: Master Gardener – Marsha Lehman
  • Learn how to easily start your seeds at home.

APRIL 20 – Dogwood Festival Garden Tour

  • 10:00am (meet at the church to carpool to gardens) We will visit some open gardens that will take your breath away!

MAY 18 – Secrets of a Hostaholic

  • 10:00am at Lake Hills Presbyterian Church
  • Speaker: Mary Lewnes Albrecht, Knox County Master Gardener
  • Mary is a docent with the UT Gardens and is a horticulture professor who has over 200 varieties of Hosta in her own garden.

JUNE 16 – Celebrate National Garden Week

  • 9:00am (meet at church to carpool to Townsend)
  • Tour Tuckaleechee Caverns and the Riverwalk Garden in Townsend
