What is a Cake Walk?
People have been asking.
A cake walk is a fun activity for kids of all ages. We will have 2 cake walks- one at 5:30 and one at 6:30.
You bring a cake, pie or dessert worth around $15-20, (or Pay $20 to join the fun). The number of people who can play are limited to the number of cakes (or desserts) that show up at the picnic.
You walk around the circle to music (kind of like Musical Chairs- except there are no chairs- unless you have to have one to play). When the music stops, you are close to a number. Then the organizer draws a number from the box. If you are standing near that number- you are the winner and you get to pick out a dessert (cake, pie, dessert). You then step out of the cake walk and let others walk and choose their cake.
We hope you’ll get baking today (or shopping) and we’ll see you tomorrow at 5:00 pm at the church lawn.

LHHA Board Updates Social Media Guidelines
The LHHA Board has voted to change how access is granted to the LHHA Facebook page. Access to the LHHA Facebook page will only be granted to dues-paying members of LHHA and family members/children of LHHA dues-paying members.
Previously, access was granted to the LHHA Facebook page if you were a member of LHHA or confirmed that you lived on the peninsula in Lakemoor Hills.
Recently, we have had individuals state that they live in Lakemoor Hills and did not. These individuals were soliciting on the Facebook page.
If you are unsure if you have paid your LHHA dues, you can check the membership list at https://lakemoor.org/resources/membership-lists/. You must have an ID and Password to access the membership list. This is in a protected area of the website.
Membership dues are $40.00 to join and may be paid online at https://lakemoor.org/lhha/hoa-member-dues-renewal/. You may also mail in your dues payment to:
Lakemoor Hills HOA
c/o Kathy Proctor, Treasurer
2429 Lakemoor Dr.
Knoxville, TN 37920
Questions? Email Kathy Proctor at [email protected].
It is anticipated that the LHHA Board will begin removing non-LHHA members in the next two (2) weeks. Hopefully, we will not remove LHHA dues-paying members, but if you are mistakenly removed from the LHHA Facebook page, please let us know.
Sincerely,
Lakemoor Hills Homeowner Association Board
2024 Happy Hours
Greetings fellow neighbors!
In less than 2 months (March 15?) we will start the monthly Neighborhood Happy Hours @ Legacy Park. These will follow every 3rd(?) Friday through October. This is our 3rd year of Happy Hours, time flies!
Our March theme will again be a celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Get your Irish on!!
I’m building a team of folk to help me this year, and I would appreciate your assistance. Here are some areas that you can serve our neighborhood as part of the Happy Hour team. 1. Set up 2. Tear down & cleanup 3. Organize food & drink 4. Promotion 5. Be a sponsor (contribute $ or supply food/ drink) 6. Special guest coordinator (like the owl lady and wine educator).
I’m open to your ideas. You can post them here or message me.
It will be great to come back out and enjoy each other’s company again. Cheers to another season of Happy Hours coming up!
