What is a Cake Walk?
What is a Cake Walk?
People have been asking.
A cake walk is a fun activity for kids of all ages. We will have 2 cake walks- one at 5:30 and one at 6:30.
You bring a cake, pie or dessert worth around $15-20, (or Pay $20 to join the fun). The number of people who can play are limited to the number of cakes (or desserts) that show up at the picnic.
You walk around the circle to music (kind of like Musical Chairs- except there are no chairs- unless you have to have one to play). When the music stops, you are close to a number. Then the organizer draws a number from the box. If you are standing near that number- you are the winner and you get to pick out a dessert (cake, pie, dessert). You then step out of the cake walk and let others walk and choose their cake.
We hope you’ll get baking today (or shopping) and we’ll see you tomorrow at 5:00 pm at the church lawn.
