Holiday Spirit Award Judging on December 17th
Holiday Spirit Award Judging on December 17th
Congratulations Lakemoor Hills … you have been decorating your homes making the season merrier! Our panel of elf judges are excited to get out and tour the neighborhood to pick their favorites for our annual Holiday Spirit Awards. This will occur the night of Sunday Dec 17th so be sure to leave your lights on late as these elves don’t have a set schedule (elves get distracted easily!). Enjoy the holidays and light your homes so your neighbors can enjoy them especially us night owls and elves.
Holiday Spirit Awards Outline:
All aspects of a home’s holiday spirit are considered…not just the brightest lights. Four homes are awarded. Past winners of the award are ineligible for judging for three years after they were awarded. Winners will be announced on the LHHA website and FB site along with an award sign placed in the front of their Christmas Palace. Up to 5 Honorable Mentions will be awarded too with the same 3 year ineligibility after a previous award. A tasteful sign will be placed in your yard. The signs will be picked up around New Years so please leave them in their place. Do not discard them.
There is no popular vote this year.

Carla Parker Memorial Service Friday afternoon at Lake Hills Church
Neighbors: There will be a Receiving of Friends on Friday, Dec. 15th, from 4-6 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 6 pm at Lake Hills Presbyterian Church for long time pianist/organist/musician Carla Parker. A large number of attendees are expected.
For those not attending the service, please refrain from using the church parking lot during this time. It is possible the field may be used for overflow parking if needed.
Holiday Mailbox Toppers & Decorative Swags
Each year, as one of their fundraisers, members of Lakemoor Hills Garden Club create live holiday decorations from greenery gathered in the neighborhood. Proceeds from the sale of the holiday decorations are used for neighborhood improvement and beautification projects. Available beginning Wednesday, November 29th for $20.00 each. Choose your mailbox topper or decorative swag from those attached to the temporary fencing at 3725 Maloney Road (the Copeland residence).
Pay in the Self-Service Drop Box. Items are offered on a first-come basis, so come early to choose your favorites. Please make checks payable to LHGC and place in the drop box. If you pay with cash, please leave the exact amount in the provided envelope and note your name and the cash amount. Thank you for your support!
