Be A Part of the Lakemoor Hills Neighborhood Cookbook!
The Lakemoor Hills Resource Council is creating a professionally produced cookbook featuring YOUR best recipes!
Everyone is invited & encouraged to submit your favorite recipes for our “Taste of Lakemoor Hills” Cookbook! We will be gathering your family favorites until October 31st to publish a neighborhood cookbook in January.
Please use the form below (you can print the .PDF version or download the Excel version) or pick up a form in the “flyer box” at 2205 Manor Road. You can drop off your recipes back in that box or scan them & email to [email protected]. If you download the Excel version, you can simply attach that to an email back to [email protected].
We would also love your story about the recipe – was it your grandmother’s chicken? Your father’s favorite pie? Or your children’s favorite cookies?
If you have any questions, please respond here. Susannah Hall Perry, Heather Craig and I will be collecting the recipes and assembling the cookbook. We will also be soliciting artwork or photographs for a cover image.
You may submit multiple recipes – c’mon, you know you’ve been cooking a lot during these past few month…share your best recipes with the neighborhood!
The Excel Sheet has been updated to allow you to add your recipe “story” within the sheet.
Recipe Writing Tips Recipe Collection SheetWith lights to dazzle…
And then the night comes alive…With lights to dazzle…
And everything’s extraordinary…Nothing is left ordinary
These are the poetic words from our secret panel judging our Lakemoor Hills neighborhood for the Holiday Spirit Awards. Was it lights or the wine? We don’t know but we do know that Y’all have really come alive with Christmas Decorations. So alive that the 3 Holiday Spirit Awards presented every year has been increased to 4. And honorable mentions use to only get the small print in the FB post WE NOW HAVE SIGNS!
There are so many and all deserve a big HO HO HO for their holiday spirit. FYI – if someone wins they are ineligible for 3 years this allows us to recognize all efforts.

Invitation to Mountain Mile in Pigeon Forge tonight
Two of our neighbors on the peninsula, one on the north side and one on the south, are developers of The Mountain Mile having its premier this weekend. They invite all Lakemoor neighbors to visit a special event tonight on The Lawn. They will have a band, food trucks, vendors and The Mountain Monster will be open. It’s an incredible three-in-one thrill ride from 200 ft towers. You may have read about it in today’s News Sentinel or seen it on TV yesterday. Event is from 5 til 10 tonight.
