REMINDER: Time to Renew Your LHHA Dues
REMINDER: Time to Renew Your LHHA Dues
Greetings neighbors!
About this time every year I send out the renewal notices for your membership in the Lakemoor Hills homeowners association. Your $40 dues goes towards helping keep our neighborhood beautiful, safe, and secure. Your renewal is due by September 1, 2024.
You may renew, two different ways.
One is by returning the renewal sheet that is in your invoice, with your check, in the enclosed addressed envelope. Make your check out to LHHA.
The other way is to go online to our website, click https://lakemoor.org/lhha/hoa-member-dues-renewal/, and renew online.
Thank you for helping make Lakemoor Hills a great place to live. I appreciate your timely response.
Kathy Proctor, treasurer.
July Happy Hour tomorrow 5 PM at Legacy Park
Hey Neighbors! Reminder that tomorrow is the July Happy Hour at Legay Park 5 PM and the weather forecast looks great. Come and enjoy BOARDS, BOXES and BOTTLES – that’s Charcuterie Boards, a variety of Box Wines, and Bring Your Own!
You are welcome and encouraged to bring something to share, e.g. snacks, covered dish, wine, garden veggies, etc. Bring along a chair (no picnic tables this month).
Items provided each month include: bottled water, ice, dishware and serveware, tables, cocktail of the month, tunes, tent in the event of rain, kids attractions weather permitting.
Contributions to the Happy Hour are much appreciated. This event does cost money to put on and contributions are very important. On occasion food is sponsored and provided at no charge.

LHHA EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (ERT)
LHHA EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (ERT) is soliciting money to assist and help defray costs for the individuals who assist with clearing our streets and storm damage in LH. For many years, Ron “Gator” Garlin and Jason Blasdell have graciously volunteered their time, work, and expertise in removing downed trees and assisting with power restoration in LH. During the last ice storm, Jason Blasdell spent many days helping remove ice on the streets in LH. Although these two and others are volunteering their time, the LH Board thought it was appropriate to solicit donations to help assist and partially defray the cost for their volunteer work. LHHA is an umbrella organization with the goal of making Lakemoor Hills a great place to live. These two neighbors and others have certainly been wonderful neighbors in helping LH neighbors and the LH neighborhood.
If you’d like to donate to this worthwhile cause, you can mail a check, use Venmo, or contribute on the LHHA website. Contributions will help with providing gift cards to these two neighbors to show our appreciation for their help in making LH a great place to live.
Please note that your contribution is for the LHHA ERT.

What is a Cake Walk?
People have been asking.
A cake walk is a fun activity for kids of all ages. We will have 2 cake walks- one at 5:30 and one at 6:30.
You bring a cake, pie or dessert worth around $15-20, (or Pay $20 to join the fun). The number of people who can play are limited to the number of cakes (or desserts) that show up at the picnic.
You walk around the circle to music (kind of like Musical Chairs- except there are no chairs- unless you have to have one to play). When the music stops, you are close to a number. Then the organizer draws a number from the box. If you are standing near that number- you are the winner and you get to pick out a dessert (cake, pie, dessert). You then step out of the cake walk and let others walk and choose their cake.
We hope you’ll get baking today (or shopping) and we’ll see you tomorrow at 5:00 pm at the church lawn.
