I am happy to announce that the bug has been fixed in the Lakemoor Hills Resource Council website and you can now make donations to the Pave it Forward project if you wish. The Lakemoor Hills Garden Club’s annual pecan sale is easy as pecan pie again this year. Place your order before November 1 and your new-crop gourmet Georgia pecans will be delivered to you as soon as they arrive.  These are mammoth whole new-crop Georgia pecan halves for only $14.00 per pound.  pieces are also available for the same price. Proceeds from the sale, benefit the neighborhood’s public garden areas.

What to do with all of your pecans?…well the Lakemoor Hills Garden Club cookbook called “The Pecan Ingredient” will assist you.  Only $12.00, includes Appetizers, Salads, Breads, Main Dishes and Vegetables, Cakes, Cookies, Pies, Desserts and Candies. Every recipe has pecans in it!

I will be sending Waste Connections the current LHHA membership listing on October 17 to update the discounts on the WCI billings. We know how beautiful our neighborhood is in the spring as the dogwood trees flourish.  But you may have some trees that are older and beginning to die.  Now is the time to order new disease resistant dogwood trees to plant this fall.  The trees can be picked up in November at the Dogwood Arts office.

Option 1: Pick Up and Plant Yourself (1-4 trees are $25/eachor order 5+ for $20/each) Trees ordered through November16, 2022 will be available for pickup from the Dogwood Arts office on Friday, December 2nd from 10AM-4M & Saturday, December 3rd from 9AM-12PM.
Option 2: Donate a Tree in Memory or Celebration (Your gift tree will be planted along one of Knoxville’s Historic Dogwood Trails and includes a commemorative card (with your personal message) that will be mailed to the recipient of your choosing. $35/each
Option 3: Donate Trees to the Historic Dogwood Trails (Your gift tree will be planted along a Dogwood Trail) $25/each
