Meet your neighbors!
The Neighborhood Family Picnic is coming up in May. On a Saturday afternoon, the Lake Hills Church yard is transformed into a to fun area for kids and adults alike. The day is TBD.
Would you like to be on the planning team? What ideas do you have to share for the picnic?
Please contact Suzan Bowman (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Following the 10:45 am Church services this Sunday (Feb. 11), there will be a Receiving of Friends Reception followed by a Celebration of Life Service at Lake Hills Presbyterian Church. Those who are not attending the reception and/or service are requested to please refrain from using the Church parking lot or facilities during this time as family & friends grieve the loss of their friend & loved one. Your cooperation is very much appreciated.
Greetings fellow neighbors!
In less than 2 months (March 15?) we will start the monthly Neighborhood Happy Hours @ Legacy Park. These will follow every 3rd(?) Friday through October. This is our 3rd year of Happy Hours, time flies!
Our March theme will again be a celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Get your Irish on!!
I’m building a team of folk to help me this year, and I would appreciate your assistance. Here are some areas that you can serve our neighborhood as part of the Happy Hour team. 1. Set up 2. Tear down & cleanup 3. Organize food & drink 4. Promotion 5. Be a sponsor (contribute $ or supply food/ drink) 6. Special guest coordinator (like the owl lady and wine educator).
I’m open to your ideas. You can post them here or message me.
It will be great to come back out and enjoy each other’s company again. Cheers to another season of Happy Hours coming up!
The January 2024 membership list has been posted to the LHHA website. You can access it under the RESOURCES tab.

Thanks to all neighbors for making Lakemoor Hills shiny and bright! Signs have been placed in the winners yards. The elves will remove them sometime around New Years.
Congratulations Lakemoor Hills … you have been decorating your homes making the season merrier! Our panel of elf judges are excited to get out and tour the neighborhood to pick their favorites for our annual Holiday Spirit Awards. This will occur the night of Sunday Dec 17th so be sure to leave your lights on late as these elves don’t have a set schedule (elves get distracted easily!). Enjoy the holidays and light your homes so your neighbors can enjoy them especially us night owls and elves.
Holiday Spirit Awards Outline:
All aspects of a home’s holiday spirit are considered…not just the brightest lights. Four homes are awarded. Past winners of the award are ineligible for judging for three years after they were awarded. Winners will be announced on the LHHA website and FB site along with an award sign placed in the front of their Christmas Palace. Up to 5 Honorable Mentions will be awarded too with the same 3 year ineligibility after a previous award. A tasteful sign will be placed in your yard. The signs will be picked up around New Years so please leave them in their place. Do not discard them.
There is no popular vote this year.
Neighbors: There will be a Receiving of Friends on Friday, Dec. 15th, from 4-6 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 6 pm at Lake Hills Presbyterian Church for long time pianist/organist/musician Carla Parker. A large number of attendees are expected.
For those not attending the service, please refrain from using the church parking lot during this time. It is possible the field may be used for overflow parking if needed.
Each year, as one of their fundraisers, members of Lakemoor Hills Garden Club create live holiday decorations from greenery gathered in the neighborhood. Proceeds from the sale of the holiday decorations are used for neighborhood improvement and beautification projects. Available beginning Wednesday, November 29th for $20.00 each. Choose your mailbox topper or decorative swag from those attached to the temporary fencing at 3725 Maloney Road (the Copeland residence).
Pay in the Self-Service Drop Box. Items are offered on a first-come basis, so come early to choose your favorites. Please make checks payable to LHGC and place in the drop box. If you pay with cash, please leave the exact amount in the provided envelope and note your name and the cash amount. Thank you for your support!
The Emergency Response Team will hold a meeting at Lake Hills Church on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 7 PM. The meeting is open to all ERT members and any residents who want to learn more about the team – what we do and how we do it. You can learn how you can help us and we can help you when the neighborhood experiences weather and other emergencies. We look forward to seeing you there. Bob Proctor
