The LHHA Board has approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the Design Center to develop a Landscape Concept Plan for the City’s Right-of-Way property between Woodson Drive and Maloney Road on Alcoa Highway. Water Problems (Randy Fishman)
From Randy Fishman:
Yesterday, our water pressure seemed low, so we called KUB. The fellow came out and said our water pressure was high. When we came home yesterday, the water was completely off.
My wife called KUB but the fellow who answered the call sounded exasperated and said it was our problem. When the plumber came this morning he found a huge amount of sand blocking the pressure valve. We had to replace the valve but more sand coming up through the line could ruin the new one.
Apparently, when KUB replaced the main water line, they released a large amount of sand into the water. Despite KUB’s claim that they are not responsible, it seems pretty clear that they are.
Has anyone else had similar problems recently?

After the storm
Rode my area and a few more after the storm. Montlake Dr and surrounding streets seemed pretty good .No damage that I can see. The house on the corner by the church looks like they had a big branch brake off a tree in the front.Doesn’t seem to be causing any problems other than needing cleaned up
info on power outage in the neighborhood
This is information from C.L. Overman, KUB Chair for LHHA:
The power has been out in Lakemoor Hills since, approximately, 1:00 pm this afternoon. 350+ homes are without power but service is being restored gradually. KUB hopes to have all power resumed by 4:00 pm this afternoon but the continued storms and winds could cause additional disruption. If anyone sees a downed power pole, limb on lines, etc., please call 524-2911 and go through the automated response system. At the end, select #7, give your account number or phone number listed on your account, and submit the information you have. This will help KUB target the problem areas assisting them to restore power quickly.
Submitted by Sharon Gerkin for C.L. Overman, who is without power………..
2 Lost Dogs
I came down Montlake about 15 minutes ago and there were 2 medium to large dogs running around the road. They belong to somebody because they both had on collars and tags. One looked solid black and the other mostly black with a little brown. They were running around looking for their home. I stopped, but didn’t get out of the car and they came running up to my car. They were in the area about mid-way on Montlake. I hope they are already home, but if they aren’t maybe this will help them get home.

Mulch
Nancy Jones has posed a question about mulch. To my knowledge, there is no group rate for mulch but I’m sure Nancy (and maybe others) would appreciate any suggestions.
From: Nancy Jones <[email protected]>
Subject: Mulch
Message Body:
Is there a nursery that works with the Homeowners Associaton to provide a group rate for mulch? If not, where does the best place seem to be to purchase large amounts of mulch? We are starting to get our yard ‘beautified”!
Thank you,
Nancy J
