2. Swag ā these can hang from mailbox post, lamp post, front door etc.
HOW DO I GET ONE?…Its easy!

Place your payment in the black box along the fence where the toppers are hanging. You can leave cash or check. Payment by check is recommended. Make checks payable to Lakemoor Hills Garden Club

Lakemoor Hills Holiday Spirit Awards
Lakemoor Hills is shiny bright! So many neighbors have decorated, it really looks like Christmas.
Now itās time for the Holiday Spirit Awards
A secret panel of judges will be driving our Lakemoor Hills Holiday Wonderland starting Friday evening the 12th so leave those lights on throughout the evening. In judging, all aspects of a homeās holiday presentation are considered, not just the most lights.
To encourage newcomers and design innovation, past winners are ineligible for an award for three years from their awarded year. Winners will be announced on the LHHA website and FB site along with an award sign placed in their Christmas Palace yard. There will also be honorable mentionsā¦so never say never!
The award signs will be retrieved the week after the new year.
I encourage everyone to tour the neighborhood and enjoy our holiday spirit. Jump in the car, fire up the Christmas music, turn up your heater, roll down those tinted windows (so you can really see and feel) and just putt around at 20mph. It will be you and your loved ones magical Christmas night.
Happy Holidays Lakemoor Hills!
Opportunity to Enrich Mount Olive Elementary
As you know, Mount Olive Elementary is the designated elementary school for children in Lakemoor Hills, located just across Alcoa Hwy and down Maloney Rd. It is also the place where we are assigned to vote, so most of you have visited that property. A non-profit – Little Chefs, Big Changes (LCBC) has developed an after-school program at Mount Olive to teach children about nutrition and food preparation. The Lakemoor HIlls Garden Club has chosen to support this endeavor, and thought some of you who were not garden club members might be interested also. They need funds and different cooking equipment to help more students be able to participate.
Here is a little more about the project from Sarah Wharton, Executive Director of LCBC.
Weāre excited to introduce you to Little Chefs, Big Change (LCBC)āa Knoxville-based nonprofit that teaches kids how to cook nutritious, affordable meals. At Mount Olive Elementary, their after-school classes help students learn essential cooking skills, try new foods, and enjoy a full meal theyāve cooked themselves featuring veggies, whole grains and legumes.
The Lakemoor Hills Garden Club is teaming up with LCBC to raise funds so more Mount Olive students can participate and so they can continue offering classes each semester. Your support goes straight to the cooking program at Mount Olive and will allow LCBC to serve more kids in our community. To donate, check out their campaign called Nourishing Mount Olive Kids, One Recipe At A Time.
Want to donate supplies instead? You can use the LCBC Amazon wishlist to buy the supplies needed to build Mount Olive their own cooking kit.
