SEPTEMBER HAPPY HOUR – NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS

September 15, 2023 will be the date of our next Happy Hour at Lakemoor Legacy Park & Garden. We want to celebrate those people who stepped out and helped their neighbors recover from the windstorm that blew through here in August. Our Emergency Response Team took action and many others throughout the neighborhood did the same, clearing driveways, creating passages through downed trees in the streets and moving debris. Come share your stories. Come let us recognize all of you that helped so much.

Please bring a dish to share with others and if you have an overabundance of produce from your garden, bring it and share with a neighbor or two. Bring a lawn chair. Bring your kiddos. Bring a beverage.

See you at 5 PM, September 15 at Lakemoor Legacy Park and Garden.

Reminder: Happy Hour is TODAY at 5 PM featuring “The Taco Bar” sponsored by Suzan Bowman and Mike Parker!

Kids: Come take a swing at the Pinata and splash in the kiddie pool and sprinkler. We’ve got you covered with water guns, bubbles and sidewalk chalk.

Our May Cocktail of the Month is the “Costa ‘Rita”.

You are welcome and encouraged to bring food items to share.

Bring items you no longer use or need to support the Swap Table! You never know what must-haves might be found here 🙂

Reminder: Tomorrow is the April Happy Hour at Legacy Park 5 PM. Come and sample Dawn’s Lakemoor Hills Dogwood Cocktail. We will have Deli Appetizers, Nuts and Bolts, Bingo and an awesome prize for the winner! Bring a chair. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your favorite dish or beverage to share.

April sponsorship appreciation goes to Wendy Salaita and Murad Salaita. Their generous gift covered our first TWO Happy Hour events this year. We deeply appreciate the support and encourage others to join up and support YOUR neighborhood Happy Hour.

LAKEMOOR HILLS DOGWOOD TRAIL BRUSH PICKUP INFO

The Dogwood Arts organization has informed us that the City of Knoxville will be doing a complimentary brush pickup within our neighborhood for ONLY those neighbors whose homes are on the Dogwood Trail the week of February 20th, 2023. All brush must be at the curb by Monday, February 20th.

The city will NOT pick up stumps, logs or other large items. This is for BRUSH ONLY. They will also not pick up debris from unoccupied lots.

Please remember that this is a favor that the City of Knoxville is giving to the Dogwood Arts organization and to us. They will come one time and not return later in the month.

Let’s all pitch in together to make Lakemoor Hills shine for our visitors when the trails open on April 1st.

Holiday Mailbox Toppers & Decorative Swags

Holiday greenery to decorate your mailbox, light post or front door has been created by garden club members from materials they selected and gathered right from our neighborhood!

  • Available beginning Wednesday, November 30 at at 3725 Maloney Road. (the Copeland residence)
  • $20.00 each – Pay in the Self-Service Drop Box
  • Please make checks to LHGC and place in the drop box. If you leave cash, please leave the exact amount in the provided envelope and note your name and the cash amount.
  • Choose your mailbox topper or decorative swag from those attached to the temporary fencing. First come, first served!

Proceeds from this annual fundraiser are used for neighborhood improvement and beautification projects.

Ho Ho Ho Lakemoor Hills!!

Announcing the annual decorating and lighting of our Community Christmas Tree.

This will occur on Saturday Nov 26th on the Lakemoor Hills Church property.

Decorating from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. The grand illumination is at 5:40pm.

Refreshments will be provided. Everyone is welcome so bring the entire family.
