Community Christmas Tree

Dear Neighbors, as you have probably seen our community Christmas Tree is shinning bright! A special thanks to a few folks that made this happen…Kathy & Bob Proctor, Dick & Ann Graf, CL Overman and Cyndi & Bruce Klassen(they are powering the tree). We had a ball decorating a couple of weeks ago.
Neighbors you are more than welcome to add decorations to the tree…this is our community tree we want everyone to be a part of it…especially the the children in the neighborhood. Let your kids know this is their tree too.  More on the history of this tree in a future post.

The Lakemoor Hills Garden Club has a one pound of pecan halves and 13 one pound bags of pecan pieces left. New crop; only $12 per pound. First come, first serve. Drop by 4000 Maloney Road or call Mary Cartwright at 579-5617.

KUB Planned Outage – Tues, Dec. 6 9a – 3p

Pipeline Construction requests a planned water outage for Tuesday, December 6 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. There will be 37 customers included in the outage. The rain date will be Wednesday Dec. 7. I am attaching a list of the customers that will be affected by the outage. Massamba is notifying the customers today.

KUB cleaning up new lines. Montlake.

KUB is cleaning up a few lines now, Thursday, 10:30pm-??


Montlake, Fox Chase, Timberlake


After replacing and fixing the lines from the fallen tree yesterday on Montlake, some of the lines and cross beams were left “green” or “not clean”. This was causing a very small arc, sparks and smoke every now and then at a clamp.


The particular line could have caused outage for Timberlake.


 


Lakemoor Hills Community Christmas Tree

Ho Ho Ho Lakemoor Hills…we now have a community Christmas Tree! The tree is the Blue Spruce located on the church grounds which you can see from Maloney Road (the church is supporting this allowing us access to this area). This will be a nice place where we can easily park and gather to celebrate the holidays.


Please come and help us decorate the tree this coming Saturday Dec 3rd starting at 4:30pm. We will have ornaments to hang in addition we invite you to bring your own (plastic only). You can retrieve your ornaments after xmas or we can box them up and use them in future years.


Please spread the word to your neighbors and lets all get together for some Christmas Cheer!


Public Meeting on Alcoa Hwy Project

The public meeting on the Alcoa Hwy Project will be held this Tuesday, December 6, 5:00-7:00 pm at the North Campus of Sevier Heights Baptist Church. The main focus of the meeting will be the construction between Cherokee Farm and Woodson Drive. I incorrectly stated earlier that it would focus on the construction between Woodson and Maloney Rd.

Road Closure on Montlake

As of ~5am this morning there is a tree down over the road and power lines on Montlake between Lakemoor and Timberlake Drives. Crews were present and working on it when I drove past at 9:30am. My power is now out on Bluff Point Drive – I’ll presume it’s related.

“Hope for the Holidays” Service at Lake Hills Presbyterian Church

On December 4, 2016, at 3:00 pm, Lake Hills Presbyterian Church will hold a special worship service – Hope for the Holidays: A Worship Service of Remembrance and Hope.  This “Blue Christmas” service will be open to all members of the community and will focus on helping those who find they are filled with feelings of loneliness or depression.  The worship space will be a safe place for people to experience emotions and be among others who are also experiencing loss, change and difficult times in their lives. Come and share in this unique worship time providing a worship experience that should be helpful and uplifting.  All are invited to attend.
