First Snow 2017 – Woohoo!
Good morning neighbors, I took a spin in Taco Verde this morning. It was peaceful. I drove Bluff Point, Lakemoor, Montlake and Timberlake Drives as well as well as Maloney, Ferry, Velmetta, and Blow. I saw no signs of downed trees. I was able to navigate most my tour in 2WD though I opted for 4WD for Lakemoor and Timberlake Drives.
I did see that more than a few neighbors had staged their vehicles at the tops or bottoms of driveways. Emergency response team leaders and support are on the alert and at the ready. The Christmas lights still up and glowing in the snow were nice too!

A cat has gone missing from Rivergate. Her name is bullseye she is a small fat black long haired cat with a current tag from volunteer veterinary clinic. Please call Mahasti 402-6227 with any info.

Lakemoor Hills Home Christmas Decorating
Lakemoor Hills Home Christmas Decorating. It is a wonderful experience to tour our neighborhood and see the lights…thanks to all who decorated. A panel of judges traveled the neighborhood and picked out a few of their favorites. Spirit Awards go out to the following:

He is an Orange tabby with a short tail. Very Friendly and his name is Henry. Wearing a gray flea collar and he has a chip.

Alcoa Hwy: December 20, 2016
Charles Blalock & Sons, and their subcontractor Rogers Group is preparing to place asphalt base for the Maloney Road collector (roundabout). Once guardrail, asphalt pavement and pavement markings are installed, traffic will be turned onto the new section of roadway. This should allow for traffic to access Maloney Road and the adjacent properties without using the temporary runaround (see photo below).
Crews will be excavating for Wall #8 on the west side of Alcoa Hwy soon. In preparation for this work and subsequent fill activities on the opposite side of Alcoa near Mount Vernon, the contractor has excavated the grassy median section and placed stone fill. Trucks will be crossing Alcoa Hwy at this location (see below).

Bluff Point Drive tree clearing
FYI: This Thurs. & Fri., Scenery Tree Service will be clearing the 2 downed trees close to the road @ 3612 Bluff Point, & removing 4 others. There will be heavy equipment in that area.

Lakemoor Drive Water Project Update
The KUB-contractor had a tough day today, December 19, with another blowout of the old line which had a ripple effect on other infrastructure along Lakemoor. Hopefully, no resident had a service disruption.
They will have to dig up 100′ of line to repair the damage.
This is a good crew doing their best in cold weather. Again, if anyone wants the direct contact numbers, those are available in previous posts.
Otherwise, take them some hot snacks and drinks. Kim and I are planning to take them a platter of ham biscuits this week.
