Neighborhood Security Alert
Please keep your eyes open for suspicious activity near your mailbox.
Over the past few weeks there have been a few issues that have come to light regarding mail and packages, which you may have read about on our Facebook page. Â The pattern that seems to have developed indicates that some small items have gone missing from garages or carport areas and mail/ packages have been found discarded in odd locations that should have been (and may have been) Â delivered t0 homes on the following streets: Â Maloney, Montlake, Blow, Timberlake, Circle Lake , Ginn, Velmetta, Tall Pine, Mont Glen. Â The incidents have occurred predominately on FRIDAYs between 12:30 PM and 4:00 PM.
The postal service has been informed and has asked us to be especially quick to remove any mail from mailboxes that may contain checks or small gifts.
Please watch tomorrow to see if you see any suspicious activity and help us put a stop to this. Â If you have a camera system on your home, try to point one camera at your mailbox. Â Inform your Emergency Response Team representative or the LHHA leadership.
We can all work together to ensure that Lakemoor Hills remains the safest neighborhood in Knox County.
Holiday Spirit Award

An Invitation
If you enjoy Christmas music, I would like to invite you to come and enjoy the choir at Lake Hills Presbyterian Church as they present the Festival of Carols, a Christmas Cantata, tomorrow morning at 10:45. There are about 28 members of the choir, many of them live in this neighborhood. The Cantata has many familiar Carols plus a few new Christmas selections. The Chrismon tree is lit, the wreaths and holly are hung, the candles will be burning and the choir has practiced. Come and feel the Christmas Spirit.
Merry Christmas,
Sharon Gerkin
CPR Training Offered in January at Lake Hills Church
Would you like to know how to respond when someone is having a cardiac emergency? You could be the difference for a family member, friend or neighbor.
As part of our neighborhood preparedness the Lakemoor Hills Homeowners Association is partnering with Lake Hills Presbyterian Church to bring the opportunity to be trained and certified in CPR.
The course will be CPR training in adult, pediatric, infant choking person training and basic AED use. The new technique is much less difficult than the original technique, and most people that can bend over adequately can be trained without difficulty. The course is an amazing advantage for those individuals to protect their family members, friends at their workplaces and in public places. In most cases, the need for the institution of a response is related to a family member or friend. This includes your children and grandchildren.
The course will be held at Lake Hills Presbyterian Church on Sunday, January 13 from 2 â 4 PM.
The cost for the course is $25. This includes the 2 year AHA AED & CPR adult, child and infant certification, personal barrier device (breathing mask to take home, and the required materials to complete the course.)
The class is limited to 50 enrollees. If you would like to participate, please contact Bob Proctor at [email protected] 742-9035.
