snake in our wood pile
Hi everyone!
Our dog alerted us to a snake in the wood pile today. Has anyone seen copperheads or rattlesnakes in the neighborhood?
Thanks in advance for any information and/or advice.
Andy and Jennifer.
Looking for House in Neighborhood to Rent
I have a friend who is looking for a house to rent in the Lakemoor Hills neighborhood. If anyone knows of a house for rent or one that will soon be for rent, please let me know. Email: [email protected]. Cell Phone: 865-405-3810. Many thanks! Sharon Gerkin
Nextdoor Lakemoor Hills Solicitation
Many of you received a solicitation recently from a company asking you to subscribe to a social media site titled Nextdoor. It appeared to have originated from within our neighborhood, but was actually posted by a company in California. They offered services that we are currently enjoying through the LHHA website www.lakemoor.org and our neighborhood Facebook page. Our Communications team has been investigating the option, but we can see no value to subscription for our members. So I want to let you know that LHHA does not endorse the site and does not plan to recommend subscription by members of Lakemoor Hills. Please let us know if you have any questions. Have a great summer!

Hi, my son, Timmy, is selling some of our adult and children’s books this afternoon (Sunday June 11) from 2-4 in our driveway at 3928 Maloney Road. $.25 per paperback, and $.50 per hard cover. I wondered if you might let neighbors know, in case they are interested. Thanks!
Best,

May 31, 2017 Project Update
Grading and fill operations are going well. Material from the large cut on the west side of Alcoa Hwy where Wall #8 is located is being hauled to the low area south of Montlake Dr. from Alcoa Hwy to Lynbrulee Ln. The photo below shows the haul road and benches in that cut. On the east side of Alcoa Hwy you can see the cut near Barber Hill Ln. Storm drain and utility relocations are also being installed and are on schedule.
Below you can see the view from Montlake Dr. looking south across the fill area where Ramp A will be constructed, connecting Montlake Dr. to Collector 3.
Weather Outages
It appears that last night most of the peninsula lost power during the storm. Some of you have had power restored. Lakemoor still has a tree with lines down at Carriage Ln. Any others still have problems?
Power’s out. Again. Did you report it?

Here’s the link to do so!
According to the radar, we’re past the worst of the storm. Stay dry!

Montlake Single Lane Traffic
During work hours over the next several weeks, Pipeline Construction, KUB’s waterline contractor, will be boring and installing a new 8″ waterline along the north side of Montlake Drive between Timberlake and Tall Pine.
This project requires the contractor to close the westbound lane of Montlake to accommodate equipment and personnel. After hours, it appears that the contractor is doing a good job removing obstacles to traffic.
The delay both directions on Montlake should be reasonable except possibly at rush hours, AM and PM. Please be considerate to the construction crew members as they are working hard to improve our water service.
I’ve driven the construction area both directions several times and it should generally flow pretty well if we are patient and plan ahead for some modest delay. I’ve already seen a very limited number of folks throw their hands up in utter disgust over a minor delay. Come on, people. This our neighborhood, not west Knoxville or New York City….
If you have suggestions, complaints, call BR-549; no actually my number is 363-2663 24/7 and I’m your friendly (generally) LHHA KUB rep C.L. Overman..
